“Macam mana ni ? Yuran makan RM834.00, PIBG RM40, Ibdadi RM277, Koperasi RM135.50! Jumlah hampir Rm1300.00! Mana nak cari ni ? Ayah nak bayar duit adik-adik lagi, PASTI RM400.00 untuk 2 orang! Sekolah Rendah sekurang-kurangnya RM200 seorang !

Akak di UiTM baru telefon semalam. Ayah, kak long kena beli peralatan bengkel, RM400. Itu baru semester 1. Dah tu PTPTN lambat lagi. Dapat separuh je pulak tu! Kenapalah mak dan abah ramai sangat anak-anak ?

Abang kat SBP kena bayar at least RM1500 ! Maklumlah tahun ini dia ambik SPM ! Apasal Bonus ayah tak dapat RM5000.00 Settle everything ! Tapi ayah dapat RM500 sahaja. Gaji ayah tinggal RM850 saja ! Emak tolong dengan menjual kuih ! Dapatlah RM20 sehari. Ayah pergi kerja naik motor buruk Honda tu dah hampir 5 tahun! Masih tidak mampu tukar dengan yang baru. Kesian ayah. Tak tahulah macam mana nak menghadapi semua ini!

Nak kata negara ni miskin macam kat Afrika tu, IMPOSSIBLE ! Kereta mewah, rumah banglow, bangunan pencakar langit, Prada, Lois Vutton, Starbuck…. semuanya melambangkan kemewahan ! Macam mana nak mula sekolah je…. ayah dan mak mula bersedih.

Bukankah negara ini KAYA ? Kenapa kena bayar banyak-banyak lagi ?
Mana pergi duit negara ini ?
Perlukah bangunan pencakar langit ?
Perlukah F1 Circuit ?
Perlukah Monsoon Cup ?
Perlukah ………..”

Have you heard about this story? I am not so sure, whether it is true or not, fact or not. But let say, if it is really happen, what say you?

I’ve been doing my internship before at KL. KL is a big city, with all the giant infrastructure, KLCC, KLIA, KL Tower, towers, and many others. It really looks great. But, I’ve been at several places, and what came across into my mind on that day was…

I was thinking, does the villagers, or any other people who lives in so-called poor area, lack of latest technologies, who do not recognize iPhone, who do not know how to create an email can get benefits of all this so called mega-project?

How those structure can help them?

when i went for my holiday last year at my hometown, my tears was nearly drop. For me, all those things, buildings kind of piss-me off. I do not even understand, why the gap between the rich state and poor state in Malaysia is too big?

I think, this is one of the reason, why Sarawak is standing among the poorest states in Malaysia, maybe because we do not have enough intellectual people to develop this such big state, because we do not have enough money to send our children to the top school. I think so…and keep on thinking…

one more thing, this one i realized during my school time, why Selangor got many SBP’s schools? KISAS, SBPI Sabak Bernam, SBPI Gombak, KUSESS, SEMASHUR, and i could not remember the rest (if any)..but Sarawak..SM SAINS MIRI, SM Sains Kuching…i think thats all..

Sarawak is one of the supplier for Oil and Gas, supposedly, we are among the richest people in Malaysia..but..yeah..even the road near to my house does not any proper lighting system, drainage system and others.

Me: “Edy, aku dari dolok masa aku agik kecik sampei kinek tok, jalan mok gi rumah nenek aku kedak sik pandei mok siap jak la, aku kinek tok dah lebih 20 dah umo ku”

Edy: “haha, kawu baruk nunggu bebelas taun, aku dah nunggu dekat 30 taun da, sama juak dari dolok”

Above  is some of the conversation between me and one of the field service engineer which originated from Sarawak (when i was serving as trainee engineer in the same company with him)

huh..I do really hope, that the government can make a change, all sarawakians need to have all those kind of technologies, proper infrastructure and so on, not only for the main cities of sarawak, but the whole places in Sarawak, GO GO GO 1Malaysia, Sarawak is one of the part of Malaysia too…

A.Alizul- If I have a chance, I’ll try to figure out the exact amount of money that parents need to pay for their children school related fees..
