|rakyatmarhaen – State PKR information chief Baharuddin Mokhsen estimates only around 57 percent turnout in the Malay areas. He tells Malaysian Mirror that PKR remains hopeful of being able to secure the targetted 25 percent of the Malay votes
Stationed at the Nangka Hilir polling station, Baharuddin says polling in the Malay kampungs was quite smooth throughout the day except for a little incident involving PBB and Umno Youth members.
He feels that a lower turnout of Malay voters could benefit the Opposition.
He also tells that Sarawak PKR has been working very hard for the DAP candidate because DAP also helped PKR tremendously during the Hulu Selangor by-election. This is Pakatan Rakyat cooperation at its best, he declares.
